MØRK GINGER
DARK-SKINNED GINGER

A lot of cheap dark-skinned Ginger clones were sold as Hawaii dolls. They had really bad wigs and were non-walkers, their head being fastened with a rubber band. Cosmopolitan is said to have marketed such dolls themselves, but all I can say is that every doll I have seen auctioned off on ebay has been the non-walking clone type. I myself had one of these dolls for a long time, a none too pretty a specimen, but now I got hold of a really beautiful one. She's dressed in outfit #226 from 1954 (which I have in two variations). The hat is hardly the correct one.
